Manifesting money mistakes are common when you’re beginning your manifestation journey.
After all, who doesn’t want more money? It seems like increasing financial abundance is the sole goal of many people who are getting into manifestation techniques.
If I make XYZ amount, how do I double, triple, or even quadruple it?
I can assure you that manifesting more money is absolutely possible if you avoid making the mistakes that can block your success.
These mistakes are very easy to make, especially for beginners. And they are the reason why so many people become disappointed with manifesting.
Before you decide that conscious creation doesn’t work, read on to find out what you might be doing wrong.
Mistake #1: Too General
For starters, asking for more money is not specific.
The first principle of manifestation is: be specific. If you simply ask “I want more money,” you may find a quarter on your way home. That’s more money. That’s your desire manifesting. Yet it’s not what you wanted at all, is it?
Energy needs definition to take form. Manifestation is only possible with specifics. You need to really zoom in on your desires and see them clearly in your mind.
For example, if you want to move or become a homeowner, don’t just say “I want a new house,” and then wait for it to appear in your life. Say: “I want a 3-bedroom house with big windows and a spacious backyard for my dog. I want it to be in my price range (specify the range), and I want it to be in this area.”
Now the Universe knows exactly what you want.
Mistake #2: Not Authentic
The main premise behind manifestation is that whatever you truly desire can manifest.
The catch is: you have to truly desire it.
Here is where a lot of people fail because they are not connected to their authentic selves, so they have no idea what they truly want.
The only thing they know is what they’re supposed to want; what other people in their peer group want, perhaps.
So they may tell themselves: “I want that Lamborghini” or “I want to be married with kids.” So they spend years or even decades pursuing those goals, getting frustrated and wondering why nothing is manifesting in their lives. What they don’t realize that is that those are not their authentic desires.
In our desire to be perceived in a positive light, we’re all “keeping up with Joneses” and chasing things that represent success. However, the chase is futile. Even if we do get those things, we’ll quickly realize that they’re not making us happy. Why? Because it’s not what our soul wants.
You have to listen to the whispers of your soul to hear what your true desires are. Once you hone in on those, the whole Universe will bend backwards to make it happen.
Mistake #3: Too fearful
Sometimes manifestation is easy and almost instantaneous, especially if you don’t overthink it.
For example, you wished for a trip to Belize and you needed a certain amount of money to make it happen. You even picked out the resort you want to stay in. And what do you know? Lo and behold — that exact sum of money came to you.
You don’t even fully understand how it happened but it happened. Maybe some unexpected bonus, tax return, inheritance… Whatever it is. Boom! The exact sum you wished for manifested.
And what do you do? Instead of jumping on Trip Advisor and booking that flight, you start thinking:
Oh, maybe it’s not time to go on vacation. Maybe I’ll put that money into a savings account or buy myself a new car or pay down the credit card debt. Or maybe I’ll go but I’m not going to stay at that fancy resort. I’ll book something cheaper.
So basically, you’re telling the Universe: I’m not ready for the abundance. I still have a scarcity mindset that tells me that money is a finite resource and I need to hold on to it.
This is one of the worst mistakes you can make when manifesting more money and abundance in general. When you ask for something and it is given, don’t be afraid to receive it.
