The pineal gland is the bridge between the physical and the spiritual worlds. Yet most people’s pineal gland is blocked, which prevents it from performing its functions. The good news is, the damage can be undone. Read on to find out how to decalcify your pineal gland and open the legendary third eye.
Do You Feel Disconnected From Your Spiritual Self?
The problem may be a blocked (or calcified) pineal gland.
Some of the symptoms of a blocked pineal gland (a.k.a. the third eye) are:
- headaches
- eye problems
- sinus problems
- sleeplessness
- inability to concentrate
- difficulty sleeping
- depression
- feeling lost/disconnected
The pineal gland is vital to our emotional and spiritual well-being. Yet this organ is malfunctioning in most people.
In fact, by age seventeen nearly half of Americans’ pineal glands are calcified (Zimmerman, 1982).
What is the Pineal Gland?
The pineal gland (the Third Eye, a.k.a. the Eye of Horus, or the Seat of the Soul), is a small pea-size organ inside your brain.
It secretes hormones like melatonin, serotonin, and DMT (Dimethyltryptamine), sometimes referred to as the Spirit Molecule.
Melatonin and serotonin are hormones that are involved in sleep or meditative states, as well as the emotional states of well-being, joy, and euphoria.
DMT is released when we dream, as well as during birth and the dying process. The release of DMT triggers feelings of deep peace, out-of-body experiences, traveling through a dark tunnel, visions of bright light, time dilation, time travel, entering into otherworldly dimensions, and communicating with sentient beings.
The Pineal Gland Symbolism
Because of its pine cone shape, the pineal gland is often symbolized by a pine cone.
In fact, many spiritual traditions use pine cone symbolism to reference the pineal gland. For example,
- the staff of the Egyptian god Osiris has two intertwining cobras meeting at the pine cone (Kundalini energy rising up to the Third Eye)
- gods of Sumeria, Greece, Babylon, and Mexico were often depicted with the pine cone
- sacred ruins of Angkor Wat in Cambodia are also pine cone-shaped
- and even the Pope’s staff features a pine cone
The Pineal Gland’s Spiritual Significance
Interest in the pineal gland spans centuries. The 17th-century philosopher and scientist René Descartes was highly interested in the pineal gland which he regarded as “the principal seat of the soul and the place in which all our thoughts are formed.”
19th-century mystic and the founder of theosophy Madame Blavatsky identified the pineal gland as the physical manifestation of the Hindu 6th Chakra — Ajna.
Ajna, also known as the Third Eye, is associated with higher knowledge, perception of non-physical reality, and cosmic wisdom.
Think of the pineal gland as your spiritual antenna that receives messages from the Source. These “angel messages” can come in the form of lucid dreams, mystical experiences, and other hints that are essential to your spiritual evolution.
In other words, the pineal gland is responsible for your spiritual potential. When it’s not working properly, you can’t actualize your potential and access that power within — the power to clearly see the world without the distortions, be in alignment with the Source, and manifest your best life.
What Causes the Calcification of the Pineal Gland?
This organ is the connector between two worlds — physical and spiritual. This is the natural state of being when we experience both realms simultaneously. Like kids do.
As kids, we are all close to the Source. We are claircognizant: meaning, we receive knowledge intuitively, and we feel in harmony with the world.
But we lose these qualities when we grow up. Why?
The problem is the calcification of the pineal gland.
This gland has a water-filled interior, which means that it calcifies with age, and for other reasons. What specifically causes the calcification?
- Fluoride in toothpaste, food, and water
- processed “junk” food
- soda and other carbonated beverages
- refined sugars, fats, flour
- lack of sunlight
- limiting beliefs
- lack of spiritual practice
Isn’t Fluoride Safe?
Nowadays fluoride is everywhere, and medical and dental establishments say that it’s not only safe but good for you.
It’s true that fluoride occurs naturally in water, so it’s harmless in minimal quantities.
However, fluoride in our tap water, food, toothpaste, dental treatments, pharmaceuticals, cookware, pesticides, etc. is not a naturally occurring fluoride, and its cumulative amounts can exceed the safety limit.
As a result, we are routinely exposed to a high level of fluoride without necessarily realizing it.
70 percent of the US water supply is fluoridated. To put this in perspective, there are more people drinking fluoridated water in the United States than in the rest of the world combined.
We’ve been told that fluoride is safe and that it prevents tooth decay, but it’s a lie. Research shows that there is NO TOOTH DECAY DIFFERENCE between fluoride-using and no fluoride-using countries.
As for safety…each year Poison Control Centers in the U.S. receive over 20,000 calls about fluoride poisoning from ingesting toothpaste. This is why all fluoride toothpaste tubes have a warning about accidental swallowing.
In fact, until recently fluoride was an active ingredient in rat poison.
Fluoride’s Effect on the Pineal Gland
Currently, there are 68 studies that prove that high fluoride exposure reduces IQ in humans. But its hazards go far beyond the physical realm.
Since the pineal gland accumulates fluoride, it has the highest fluoride concentration in the human body, and that is the primary cause of pineal gland calcification.
Thus, exposure to fluoride blocks the third eye. And it is the reason why most people’s pineal gland shuts down by the time they’re 17 years old.
I’m not going to go into the reasons why there’s so much fluoride in our environment. If you want to know more, the documentary “DMT: The Spirit Molecule” explains why people having spiritual experiences is not good for those who want to keep the status quo.
How to Decalcify Your Pineal Gland
11 Ways to Reduce Your Intake of Fluoride
The number one thing you can do to decalcify your pineal gland is to reduce your intake of fluoride.
- Use only natural fluoride-free toothpaste and decline fluoride gel treatments at the dentist
- Drink purified or filtered water, and keep in mind that bottled water can also be fluoridated
- Eat fresh organic food: the more processed the food is, the more fluoride it contains
- Avoid processed beverages like sodas, juice drinks, instant or bottled teas, and sports drinks
- Avoid cooking with non-stick pans, they increase the fluoride content of the food
- Drink organic or imported wine. Wine (particularly red wine) is good for you in moderation. But because of the heavy use of fluoride-based pesticides in the United States, wines that are made from U.S.-grown grapes (particularly California wines) are fluoride-laden
- Avoid processed meat (e.g., chicken fingers, chicken nuggets). A mechanical de-boning process contaminates the meat with higher levels of fluoride
- Drink teas that are made from young leaves (e.g., “White tea”) or yerba matte – a herbal tea from South America
- Pharmaceuticals also contain fluoride. So whenever possible, avoid or limit the use of anesthetics, antibiotics, and antidepressants
- When taking a shower or a bath, you also absorb fluoride through the skin. If you like taking a long shower or a nice relaxing bath, consider installing a water filter in your bathroom. Otherwise, try turning the faucet off while you’re lathering up. This way you’re conserving water and minimizing your fluoride absorption
- Avoid taking calcium supplements since they don’t get absorbed into the bones and just end up clogging your organs, including the pineal gland.
5 Ways to Detox the Calcified Pineal Gland
Fluoride detox is another way to decalcify and activate your pineal gland. This is to cleanse your body and remove fluoride that’s accumulated over the years.
- Tamarind fruit or paste. A healer at a spiritual retreat once told me that tamarind paste is the best way to decalcify the pineal gland. I researched it and found evidence that it’s true. Recent studies show that tamarind is highly effective in removing body fluoride through the excretion of urine, and even in mobilizing deposited fluoride from the bones.
- Borax (boron) supplement is another antidote to fluoride. Take a 1/4 teaspoon of borax (most supermarkets have it) in one liter of water in small quantities throughout the day. Boron is also present in beets.
- Fish Oil is one of the best substances for all-around detoxification, specifically, to decalcify the pineal gland. It aids with depression, anxiety, headaches, low energy, insomnia, etc. The best kinds of fish oil are skate liver oil and shark liver oil.
- Liver cleanses are crucial to our physical and spiritual well-being. A good liver cleanse can remove heavy metals and numerous toxins from your body, including fluoride. The one I recommend is a coffee enema. Make sure you cleanse your colon before doing any other cleanses.
- Sauna or a sweat lodge ceremony is great for removing fluoride and other toxins by excreting them in the sweat through the skin. Wipe the sweat off your body often to prevent re-absorption and drink lots of water. Hydration is vital if you consider this method!
6 Spiritual Practices to Decalcify and Activate the Pineal Gland
Another way to decalcify and activate your pineal gland is a spiritual practice.
This is arguably the most pivotal step. While it’s important to change your diet and maintain a healthy body, nothing replaces conscious spiritual practice.
It allows for healing to occur naturally, trains the mind to be still, and prepares you to experience higher states of consciousness.
1. Meditate, Meditate, Meditate
There are a number of meditations you can practice to target your pineal gland. For example, meditating with the word “Love”.
Sit with your back straight, your eyes closed, and your tongue between your teeth. Gently bite the tip of your tongue. Vibrate the word “love” through your teeth as you purse your lips.
2. Breathing through your Third Eye
This is is another technique you can employ to decalcify and activate your pineal gland.
Breathe in the brilliant silver light through your Third Eye, hold it, then visualize it surrounding your pineal gland. See it vibrating with that silver light. See that calcified shell breaking and deteriorating. Then see your pineal gland shine as luminous light is breaking through the barrier of calcium.
Practice for about 15-20 minutes a day.
3. Placing your awareness in your Third Eye
Simply placing your awareness in your Third Eye is effective in stimulating the pineal.
When you do it, you’ll notice a feeling of slight pressure in your forehead area, which is a good sign. Just hold your attention there and be mindful of your body and mind.
4. Kundalini Yoga
The pineal gland can also be activated by Kundalini yoga which works with your Kundalini energy. Kundalini can rise from the root chakra at the base of your spine all the way to the crown chakra and beyond.
The idea behind Kundalini yoga (and meditation) is to create a gradual energy buildup that would activate your chakras one by one naturally.
5. Crystal Healing
You can utilize gemstones and crystals. Gems that work with the Third Eye chakra are deep blue stones like lapis lazuli, sapphire, or sodalite.
Communicate with the stone. Ask it to help you awaken and heal your pineal gland. You can hold the stone during meditation or place it on your forehead to increase the effect.
6. Sungazing
Sungazing is an ancient holistic practice of gazing into the sun during certain times of the day in order to absorb the sun’s energy (or “feed” on it).
It facilitates your spiritual evolution, induces higher states of consciousness, retrains your body to subsist on solar energy, and activates the pineal gland.
This is a very powerful practice that requires following specific instructions and a lifetime commitment.
